Biography

NICKOLAOS KORONIOTIS received a B.Sc. degree in Informatics and Telematics in 2014 and an M.Sc. degree in Web Engineering and Applications in 2016 from Harokopio University of Athens (HUA), Greece. He subsequently earned a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra, Australia, in 2020. He commenced his doctoral studies at UNSW Canberra in 2017, specializing in cybersecurity with a focus on network forensics and the Internet of Things (IoT).

His research interests include cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. His research has focused on deep learning–based approaches for network intrusion detection, botnet detection, and vulnerability assessment in smart environments, with applications to smart airports and the Internet of Battlefield Things (IoBT). His current research interests include AI-driven software security, intelligent agents for cybersecurity, and AI-based approaches for vulnerability discovery, assessment, and malicious activity detection.
